Study notes
Example: To study mitochondria, liver cells are blended gently (homogenized), then spun: slow spin pellets nuclei, medium spin pellets mitochondria, fast spin pellets microsomes. The mitochondrial pellet is collected and tested — this is how the Krebs cycle enzymes were proven to live in mitochondria.
