Study notes
A single potato tuber cut into pieces — each with an 'eye' (bud) — grows into full plants, multiplying one potato into ten. Banana plantations are started from suckers, sugarcane from stem cuttings, and roses from stem cuttings dipped in rooting hormone — every new plant genetically identical to the parent.
