Predict the ¹H NMR of CH₃CH₂Br. Step 1: Two H environments: CH₃ (next to CH₂) and CH₂ (next to CH₃ + Br). Step 2: CH₃: n=2 neighbours → triplet (n+1=3), integration 3. Step 3: CH₂: n=3 neighbours → quartet, integration 2; deshielded by Br (higher δ). Step 4: Triplet (3H) + quartet (2H) — splitting reveals neighbours!
