National oral health programs and policies
Public Health Dentistry · Dental (BDS)
Study notes
A national program adds oral screening to school health. Why integration beats standalone camps? Integration (oral within general/school health) sustains - standalone dental camps treat once and vanish; embedded screening with referral reaches every child yearly. Students learn program design: piggyback on existing systems (schools, primary care), measure with indices, fund prevention - because the program that depends on one dentist's goodwill dies with their transfer.
