Q: Batsman A: mean 40, SD 8. Batsman B: mean 30, SD 6. Who is more consistent? CV(A) = (8/40) x 100% = 20%. CV(B) = (6/30) x 100% = 20%. Equal consistency! Raw SDs (8 vs 6) mislead - relative to their means, identical.
