Q: Divide 47 by 6 (quotient, remainder). Does 6 | 47? Does 6 | 48? 47 = 6×7 + 5: quotient 7, remainder 5. 6 ∤ 47 (remainder 5 ≠ 0). 48 = 6×8 + 0: remainder 0, so 6 | 48 ✓. Division algorithm: unique q, r with 0 ≤ r < 6!
