Q: Are (1,2), (3,4), (5,6) linearly independent in ℝ²? 3 vectors in ℝ²: max independent = 2: DEPENDENT! Find: a(1,2)+b(3,4)+c(5,6) = 0. Try: (1,2)-2(3,4)+(5,6) = (1-6+5, 2-8+6) = (0,0) ✓! Dependent: (5,6) = -(1,2)+2(3,4)! (Redundancy!)
