Q: Rationalize 5/(√3 − 1) and 1/√5. Part A: Multiply top and bottom by conjugate (√3 + 1): 5(√3+1)/((√3−1)(√3+1)) = 5(√3+1)/(3−1) = 5(√3+1)/2. Part B: 1/√5 = √5/(√5×√5) = √5/5.
