Q: Find the volume when y = sqrt(x), 0 to 4, is rotated about the x-axis. Disc method: V = pi times the integral from 0 to 4 of (sqrt(x))^2 dx = pi times the integral from 0 to 4 of x dx. = pi [x^2/2] 0 to 4 = pi (16/2) = 8 pi cubic units.
