Seizure >5min — lorazepam; stops; phenytoin loaded. Medical emergencies: DKA (hyperglycemia — ketones — acidosis: fluids — NS; insulin — 0.1U/kg/h; K+ — replace; cause — infection), status epilepticus (>5min — lorazepam 4mg — repeat; phenytoin/fosphenytoin — load; levetiracetam; refractory — midazolam infusion — ICU), anaphylaxis (adrenaline IM — 0.5mg; airway — edema; fluids; antihistamines — adjunct), hypoglycemia (<70 — glucose — 25g; glucagon — 1mg IM), thyroid storm (fever, tachycardia — carbimazole, propranolol, steroids — cool). Protocols save — follow them.
