Vaginal discharge with lower pain — PID; ceftriaxone + doxycycline; partner treated. STIs in women (chlamydia — commonest bacterial — often silent — PID/infertility; gonorrhea — purulent — PID; trichomoniasis — frothy — metronidazole; syphilis — chancre → rash → latent — benzathine penicillin; HSV — painful ulcers — acyclovir; HPV — warts — podophyllin; donovanosis/LGV — ulcers/bubo): syndromic management (vaginal discharge — cervicitis — ceftriaxone + doxycycline + metronidazole; GUD — genital ulcer — treat syphilis + chancroid + HSV): PID (lower abdominal pain + discharge + cervical motion tenderness: ceftriaxone + doxycycline + metronidazole — 14 days; partner — treat; prevent — infertility/ectopic). Treat the partner — or she returns.
