Study notes
A woman — amenorrhea, abdominal pain, faint; ruptured ectopic; laparotomy, salpingectomy. Ectopic (amenorrhea + abdominal pain + vaginal bleeding: ruptured — hypotension, shoulder pain — blood: USG — empty uterus + adnexal mass + fluid; treat — stable + small — methotrexate; ruptured/unstable — laparotomy — salpingectomy): abortions (threatened — bleeding, closed os — rest; inevitable — open os; complete — passed; incomplete — retained — evacuation; missed — no expulsion — evacuation; septic — fever — antibiotics + evacuation). GTD (molar — complete — snowstorm USG, high hCG, vesicles: suction evacuation; follow hCG — persistent — choriocarcinoma — chemo — curable; partial — triploidy). The shoulder pain is ruptured ectopic — blood irritates the diaphragm.
