Study notes
Step 1: Identify the change in magnetic flux. A coil has 100 turns. The magnetic flux through each turn changes from 0.05 Webers to 0.15 Webers. Step 2: Calculate the change in flux. Delta Flux = Final Flux - Initial Flux = 0.15 Wb - 0.05 Wb = 0.10 Wb. Step 3: Determine the time interval. This change happens in 0.5 seconds. Step 4: Apply Faraday's Law formula. EMF = -N * (Delta Flux / Delta Time). The negative sign indicates direction (Lenz's Law), but for magnitude, we ignore it. Step 5: Calculate the value. EMF = 100 * (0.10 / 0.5) = 100 * 0.2 = 20 Volts. The induced voltage is 20V.
