Study notes
A five-year-old denture rocks on the ridge but the teeth are fine. Reline or remake? Teaching: when the teeth and bite are still good but the ridge has resorbed so the base no longer fits, a reline (new tissue-surface layer capturing the current ridge shape) restores fit economically. A remake is needed when teeth are worn out, the bite is wrong, or the base is irreparably damaged. Fit problem alone → reline; teeth/bite problem → remake.
