Q: A die is rolled 60 times: faces 1-6 appear 8, 12, 9, 11, 7, 13 times. Test fairness at α = 0.05. E = 10 each. χ² = (8-10)²/10 + (12-10)²/10 + ... = 0.4+0.4+0.1+0.1+0.9+0.9 = 2.8. df = 5, critical χ²(0.05) = 11.07. 2.8 < 11.07: fail to reject - die looks fair!
