Study notes

A body has small inverted entry and large everted exit wounds — shot at range. Firearm wounds: entry (small, inverted edges, abrasion collar; range signs — soot/blackening in near, tattooing in intermediate) vs exit (larger, everted, no collar). Direction, range, and number reconstruct the shooting — the autopsy maps trajectories. Defense wounds (hands/forearms) argue homicide over suicide. The wound is the witness — it testifies about distance, direction, and intent.
