Implant components and types

Study notes
A narrow ridge can't fit a standard implant. What are the options? Narrow-diameter implants, ridge augmentation first, or zygomatic implants for severe maxillary atrophy - chosen prosthetically (where the crown needs to be) and biologically (what bone exists). Students learn component thinking: the fixture anchors, the abutment connects, the prosthesis functions - and type selection follows the backward plan from the final tooth to the available bone.
