Wedding guests fall ill 12–24 hours after the feast — the epidemic curve peaks once. A point-source outbreak (single exposure — the feast): sharp single-peaked curve, incubation-clustered cases; attack rates by food item (the paneer 80% vs rice 20%) finger the vehicle; leftovers cultured. Propagated (person-to-person) would show successive waves. The curve's shape is the diagnosis — one peak, one meal, one culprit.
