A teenager — very low weight, fears fatness; anorexia; medical stabilization + therapy. Anorexia nervosa (low weight — BMI <17.5 + intense fear of fat + body image distortion: medical — bradycardia, electrolytes — refeed carefully — refeeding syndrome; treat — psychotherapy — family-based; weight restoration): bulimia (binge + purge — vomiting — normal weight — dental erosion, parotid: SSRIs — fluoxetine + CBT). Personality (enduring — borderline — impulsivity, self-harm — DBT; antisocial — disregard; narcissistic; avoidant): treat — psychotherapy — DBT — mainstay. The distorted body image is anorexia — refeed slowly.
