A 3-year-old — no eye contact, repetitive play; autism; early therapy started. Autism spectrum (poor eye contact, delayed language, repetitive behaviors, sensory issues: screen — M-CHAT 18–24mo; diagnose — DSM; treat — early behavioral therapy — speech, occupational; no drug cures): ADHD (inattention, hyperactivity, impulsivity — 2 settings — school/home: behavioral therapy first; methylphenidate/atomoxetine if needed). Adolescent health (puberty — growth spurt, menarche; risk — substance, sexual, mental health: counsel — confidentiality — HEADSS; eating disorders — anorexia — distorted body image — multidisciplinary; depression — screen). The non-verbal toddler needs M-CHAT — early therapy changes trajectory.
